Mohamed Ali He ranks among the best investigative journalists Kenya has produced and has made investigative journalism to be one of the strongest pillars of Kenyan media. Through the popular Jicho Pevu, this has become an important feature in Kenyan journalism and in the process earning earned fame and accolades. The writer who exposes various social ills and corruption in the society including drug trafficking, child theft syndicate, corruption among others, is a household name in Kenyan journalism circles. He takes to his job strong reputation, integrity and competence. Besides time consuming, the job is also risky and the sensational stories put him cut above the rest. Mohammed Ali brought out stories on corruption in government, and by unscrupulous businessmen. One of the major piece was his investigative story on Car Track whose proprietor allegedly swindled motorists millions of shillings while pretending to install non existence antitheft devices on their vehicles. The businessman has since gone underground. A winner of several journalistic Prizes, including a presidential award.
